Walking down from the busy city centre of Lausanne towards the lake, you will arrive in the Botanical Garden (French: Jardin Botanique Cantonal Lausanne), a pleasant place to rest and enjoy the greenery while touring the city.
The garden features approximately 6,000 plant species, including alpine, medicinal, tropical and even carnivorous plants, as well as flowers of all colours.
Opening days and hours: Everyday from the 1st of March until the 31st of October, from 10:00 until 17:30 (until 18:30 from May until September). The greenhouses remain closed between 12:00 and 13:30.
